Someone called and asked if I was Mrs Hewitson from my area code. I said yes, but then the call just dropped. I tried ringing back, but as soon as I did, the line cut out again. A bit later, another caller did the same thing. I just hung up after that.

Just as I was about to step out, this number rang me up. The bloke started by giving his name, then launched into some kind of sales spiel, saying he knew we hadn’t talked before. I cut him off quickly and asked what exactly he wanted since I was in a hurry. Instead of a polite reply, he snapped at me, saying he didn’t like my tone and then hung up really roughly on me. Since it’s my landline, I managed to see the number, but ringing them back costs at least 14p a minute, so I haven’t bothered complaining. Watch out for their aggressive manner - best just hang up straight away.
