My mum keeps gettin calls where they wanna know her bank info for some tv warranty payment. It’s getting a bit annoying!

Today, the 24th of January 2024, at 9.59am, I got a call on my landline from this number. Using 1471, I found out it’s a local Chelmsford number, definitely not my bank. The caller claimed that two withdrawals were made from my bank account - one for £1,000 and another smaller amount. They said it was unusual because I don’t normally deal with sums like this. I rang the bank to check & so far, nothing’s been taken. I’ll be looking into it again tomorrow. I also made sure the bank logged this call for their records.
