Just got a call saying there were two charges on my Amazon account, one for £700 and another for £14.99. They told me to press 1 if I wanted to hear more. Weird thing is, I did buy something from Amazon recently, just not for those amounts. How on earth did they know about my purchases?

Got a call from someone claiming to be from benefits, whatever that means. He kept asking me all sorts of personal stuff. He even knew my old postcode, but I told him I’d moved over a year ago. Then he pushed for my new address, but I refused to give it. He got quite irate after that, but I just kept refusing. Eventually, he just hung up. Pretty sure it was just some kind of scam.
