01245203304 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01245203304 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving unsolicited calls from a group claiming to have taken over the "duty of care" for solar panel installations, pressuring recipients to book safety checks or inspections on supposedly older systems. Callers often use different business names and provide inconsistent details, showing little knowledge of the actual equipment or installation history. They may become aggressive or abusive if challenged, sometimes asking personal questions about retirement status, suggesting data harvesting motives. Many recipients warn that legitimate solar companies do not make cold calls for such checks, advising to avoid engagement, not to confirm any information, and to report these calls to relevant authorities. The operation targets vulnerable individuals and attempts to gain access under false pretences, so vigilance and caution are strongly recommended.

A solar panel firm claims they've assumed the "duty of care" regarding my installation. Absolute nonsense, if you ask me. It’s probably just a con!

I received a rather unexpected call from a lady named "Demi" who claimed to be affiliated with the Senway Group. She was ringing to confirm a safety inspection for my solar panels set for Monday. Apparently, they’ve acquired something called the “National Renewals Database,” and since my system is over a decade old, it apparently requires a mandatory check for compliance reasons. She mentioned something about a “duty of care.” However, when I probed a bit deeper regarding her company and the so-called database, she abruptly disconnected the call. I attempted to return her call, but the line was consistently engaged. It’s become abundantly clear this is nothing more than a con.

Once more, I've received a call from Senway Group, insisting that there's a scheduled visit to inspect our solar panels tomorrow. I clarified that we hadn't arranged any such appointment, to which the caller responded, "It's definitely on the books." I retorted, "In that case, you'd best cancel it," only to hear, "No, we’ll be there regardless." It’s absolutely infuriating-totally lacking in professionalism! I wouldn’t recommend engaging with them at all.

I had a safety inspection offer for solar panels come my way. When I politely declined, I was met with quite a tirade of insults. Quite the unpleasant surprise!

I've had the exact same thing happen like others here. Loads of calls over months from Fenway or whichever name they’re using that week. They kept saying, "You requested we call you back"... nope, I told them to quit ringing me! All that duty of care nonsense. Lucky for me, they always claim there's an engineer nearby if I ever need one - which I won’t, as I stick with a trustworthy local company that doesn’t waste time cold calling or trying to trick people.

Got a call claiming to be from the National Renewables Centre. At first, they seemed pretty official and professional. But when I asked for a website so I could verify their info, they just hung up on me. Definitely looks like a scam to me.

Got a call from someone claiming to check our solar panels. Seemed suspicious to me, probably a scam trying to get info or money. Watch out, don’t trust these folks calling out of the blue about solar stuff!

I think I just got a call from that Fenway something or other group, claiming to do solar panels. Felt a bit dodgy to me, sounded like one of those common solar scams. Just a heads up to be careful if they ring you!

Got a call from someone claiming they took over my solar panels care from when I bought them, said they’d first called me in September and this was a follow-up. I told them sorry but it sounded a bit dodgy and ended the call. They rang back again before I managed to block the number. Now it’s definitely blocked.

Once a year they ring me up, I just listen to their nonsense and then tell them my firm fitted the solar panels back in 2010. I explain there's no need for inspections, only a clean every few years (then the call cuts off). Total scam, preying on elderly folks. Absolute lowlife, money-hungry tricksters. Stay clear!

Somebody rang up saying they were from Fenway, claiming I’d signed up for them to handle my solar panel upkeep. They were clueless about who actually installed the panels and said that company had shut down, which isn’t true. They also mentioned an electrician would be calling tomorrow, but I made it clear they weren’t welcome. They were quite persistent, to be honest - watch out for them! What really set me on edge was how keen they were to know if I’m retired or not - maybe they’re gathering info for targets or something dodgy?

Somebody phoned saying they were from Fenway, saying I had supposedly consented to them managing the upkeep of my solar panels. They were clueless about who installed them and couldn’t track down any info on that company, even though that firm is still operating. They mentioned an electrician would be visiting tomorrow, but I made it clear there’d be no one coming. Properly pushy that lot - watch out!

Loads of calls from this number and a few others, really annoying. They even had the nerve to ask how old we are and if anyone has power of attorney - seemed pretty fishy to me.

Got a call trying to set up a viewing for some solar panels. At first, I was about to agree but then it felt a bit dodgy. I’ve been sold dodgy solar gear before, so I’m wary now. They keep ringing, and it’s starting to annoy me a lot. I’m thinking about blocking their number soon.

I got a call from this number (01245 203304) around half past four in the afternoon on the 24th of January, 2024. A bloke was on the other end, inquiring if I was Mrs Ringer. It's a regular occurrence for me to receive calls intended for that person, despite having had this phone number for over 15 years. When I pressed him for his identity, he started talking about solar panels. I quickly interrupted and requested that my number be taken off their list. In response, he retorted, questioning why I had said 'yes' when he asked if I was Mrs Ringer. I clarified that I hadn’t; I simply asked who was calling. This seemed to escalate his demeanour, as he became quite aggressive, hurling insults and foul language my way, telling me to “**** off” and calling me various names. He just carried on screaming obscenities until I finally hung up.

Somebody rang up claiming they were from Fenway. They sounded quite nice and mentioned it was a "health check", referring to a chat they supposedly had with me back in October (not sure about that). I told them I had no idea what they meant. Then they said it was a health check for my solar panels on the property. Honestly, a bit odd.

Had a bit of a run-in with a solar panel salesman recently. I politely expressed my lack of interest, and instead of taking it gracefully, I was met with a tirade of verbal abuse. Decided to ring them back to address it, but surprise, surprise - every time I tried, I just got a busy tone. Clearly, they don't entertain incoming calls.

I received calls from this number two days in a row. Honestly, what a bunch of dimwits! Jade, find something worthwhile to do with your time. I'm considering reporting this to OFCOM or possibly the ICO, if it will have any impact. It’s disheartening to see how many individuals are out there just looking to take advantage of others, thinking it's an effortless way to make a quick buck. It’s truly a pity for those who resort to such tactics in today's society.

Absolutely a complete con!

They claim to have assumed ‘duty of care’ for your solar panels from a different firm. Seriously?!

They’re insisting they can slot you in for an installation as soon as tomorrow! What on earth for?

Steer clear of them - be vigilant. Don’t fall for this trickery!

They called me, but got my name wrong, just like before. I guess that’s what they meant by “updating their database”! Typical.

Once they figured out we'd caught onto their ruse, they resorted to some rather foul language. They were attempting to secure a visit to our home under the false claim that we had an account with them. Apparently, they wanted to inspect some solar panels, which, mind you, we don't even possess! Quite the cheek, isn't it?

Had a call from someone claiming they were now responsible for the maintenance of our solar panels. They wanted to arrange a visit for Saturday, but I said we wouldn’t be home. Then they pushed for Monday, and I told them we’d be away for years to come. Just a heads up, if they get in touch, it’s most likely a con! Best to avoid them altogether. If you’re having issues with your panels, ring up your original installer or a trusted local firm instead.

I received a call from someone named Demi representing Senway Group, who wanted to verify my appointment for a safety inspection on my solar panels this coming Monday. She mentioned that her company had acquired the “National Renewals Database” and, since my system is over a decade old, it was legally required to undergo a check. Apparently, they have a supposed “duty of care.” However, when I probed a bit more about her organisation and what this national database entailed, she abruptly ended the conversation. I attempted to ring her back, but the line was constantly engaged. This whole thing seems like a complete con.

Got a call from someone about solar panels, said they’d taken on the "duty of care" but wouldn’t reveal their company name. Just received a call a mere five minutes back from someone claiming to represent Femway Group, supposedly the new owners of the firm that set up my solar panels. The individual was incredibly insistent, which raised a few red flags for me. They insisted on needing to come round to assess my system, yet they seemed utterly clueless about the equipment I currently have. Feeling quite wary, I was just about to probe further when the call abruptly disconnected!

They somehow had my address and name and said they’d rung about Solar Panels before, claiming they now managed the maintenance or something. Sounds pretty much like what others have said. They claimed to handle the "duty of care" part, which was supposedly 5% of what I paid originally, along with a safety check. Booked an electrician to come and check the inverter today, but no show. They seemed clueless about my setup and asked if I had something called an MCS Certificate. Also, oddly eager to find out if me or my missus was retired. Looking back, it felt like they were just trying to gather info about us for their own records.

He started by giving me a name and an address, then insisted I’d called him back in September, asking, “Don’t you remember?” He said he was calling to arrange a visit about solar panels. When I told him it sounded like a scam, he turned hostile, accusing me of being impolite and threatening to report me! The name he used was actually of someone really old who passed away years ago. They keep ringing us up repeatedly, always looking for someone who hasn’t lived here for more than two decades. Each time I ask to be taken off their calling list - even though I’m registered with the TPS, they just won't listen. Oddly enough, they also keep bringing up solar panels during the calls. When I warned them we’d involve the police if the calls continue, they flipped it and said they’d report me to the police instead! Seriously, I've never dealt with anything this bizarre.

I received a phone call earlier from someone claiming to represent the Fenway group. She started going on about needing a review concerning our feed-in tariff for the solar panels. Despite my numerous attempts to explain that we weren't interested, she just wouldn't take no for an answer. I mentioned that we’re registered with the telephone preference service and don't welcome unsolicited calls. In response, she insisted she wasn’t a cold caller, stating it was a government-related inquiry. I requested her to take our number off her list, but she dismissed my request, saying it couldn't be done and that similar calls would keep coming. Quite frustrating, really, and after that, she just hung up.
