I just received a rather alarming phone call on my landline from 01245 123456. A gentleman claimed to represent some sort of environmental emergency warning service, insisting that I mustn't consume or even boil my tap water as it’s contaminated and hazardous. When I questioned his legitimacy, he insisted it was urgent, blaming issues with the water supply on people improperly disposing of waste like nappies. At that point, I realised this was nothing short of a scam and ended the call. This kind of nonsense could seriously panic an elderly or vulnerable individual who might believe what they're told and refrain from using their water altogether. I’m definitely reaching out to my water provider and potentially involving the authorities regarding this dubious call - the number is 01245 123456.
