I really fell victim to this one, didn’t I? In dire need of some funds, I found myself lured in by these folks who promised a loan. Delighted, I handed over £105 as an upfront payment, which they claimed would secure the funds. But two days later, after receiving nothing, I decided to cancel the whole thing. They told me the reason for the delay was that it hadn’t been secured and that I’d have to cough up another £105 to rectify that. Naturally, I wasn’t having any of it and made it clear I wanted to cancel completely. They informed me I would receive £80 back due to a cancellation fee, and I accepted that. Then, out of the blue, they rang me again, still not having returned my £80, and offered to cover a £150 loan for me. They claimed they’d send me £100, which I needed to return to them, with the company supposedly covering the remaining £50. So, I received the £100 (and that should’ve been my cue to bolt). They decided to call me back, insisting I withdraw the money in cash and post it off to some chap in Naples. I flat-out refused, but he wouldn’t take “no” for an answer. Eventually, he settled on me sending the cash to their finance team, which I ended up doing. Two days later, they completely ignored all my messages and calls. It’s quite amusing, really. I might have lost £105, but it sure provided a laugh - the caller's name? Loan Me The Money Limited!
