I got a call from someone claiming to be from Halifax fraud dept after noticing some dodgy activity on my Halifax credit card. The woman sounded really convincing and acted really professional. She didn’t ask for any personal info - like she already had it - but while speaking to me, it seems they tried making transactions which led to Halifax sending me verification codes by text. She then asked me to read these codes out to her. Later, I had to ring up the actual Halifax fraud team myself to sort it all out and get those transactions cancelled. Proper scam, so watch out!

Got two calls from this number within a day. The first said they were with RBS, then later someone else said they were from Halifax Fraud department. Didn’t trust it and have blocked them. Be careful with this one.
