I was expecting a call and missed it, so I tried calling the number back thinking it was the one I was waiting for. To my surprise, an automated voice greeted me by name. It sounded really believable with background noises of what seemed like a call centre and flawless English, but I quickly spotted it was an AI voice! They were promoting an energy switching service, something I had considered last year. I ended the call immediately since it felt like a scam. I’ve now blocked the number. This scammer uses several numbers, including: 01244 916676 and 01244 916673.
