It seems they somehow got hold of my number and slapped a 43p fee on my bill, which EE went ahead and charged. When I looked over my statements, I noticed five separate charges from strange numbers, including three from Indonesia, all appearing simultaneously on the same day. Thankfully, EE refunded the amount and added a block to stop any future charges like this.
