There was a pause which instantly screamed scam to me, then the guy says, "I'm John, your local energy advisor." I didn't hold back and gave him a mouthful full of swear words. Maybe that's the way to deal with these calls? Usually, if I were feeling cheeky, I'd have messed about with him for a bit longer. But honestly, my missus being ill today left me in no mood for any of it!
