I’ve been bombarded by calls from MBNA lately, and even after letting them know we’re not the person they're seeking, they just won’t take the hint and keep calling. In the end, I was advised to contact BT on 0800 411 422, and they’ll sort it out on your behalf. It’s all about dealing with those pesky nuisance calls, and they’re well-equipped to tackle this for you.

It appears that these nuisances are a debt recovery firm. They just won’t take a hint, regardless of the fact that you aren’t the person they're after-no matter how clear you communicate that. Our suggestion is to give them a ring back (using 141 for privacy), request extension 15128, and just have a bit of fun with them. Have a laugh, give them a bit of stick, and so on. This tactic eventually made them realise their mistake and cease their calls, which should definitely lift your spirits! Best wishes. Cheers, Tammy.

Received a call from a number that was withheld. It turns out it was from Virgin, chasing me about a credit card payment that I hadn’t settled yet.

I've been inundated with calls intended for an MBNA customer, despite my repeated attempts to explain that I’m not the person they're after. It’s quite frustrating, to be honest! After a fair bit of back and forth, we decided the best course of action was to reach out to BT on 0800 411422. They’ve got a dedicated team for dealing with these nuisance calls who will take the matter up with the firm on your behalf. Fingers crossed this will finally put an end to these bothersome phone calls!
