She informed me that there had been suspicious activity on my account, with one transaction amounting to £1000 to Amazon and another for £300 heading to an overseas account. The options she provided were intriguing - press 1 to block the transactions and 2 to reach out to a representative. Naturally, I decided to call 159 to verify the legitimacy of the call, only to be told it was, in fact, a scam. Can you believe it?
