I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be from BT, insisting that my broadband connection had been cut off. They urged me to hit 1 on my phone to chat with an engineer. However, I was happily browsing away on my laptop right beside the hub, so it all seemed a bit off. I decided to terminate the call, convinced that it was a scam - probably one where pressing that button might either land me on an extortionate premium-rate line or, worse, introduce a nasty virus into my system. Definitely not taking that bait!
