I warned them my phone was being watched by Action Fraud, who were recording everything and would deal with any scams, then they just ended the call!

I got a call from someone who seemed to know I recently had cavity and roof insulation put in by Miller Pattison, and they said they needed to come check if it was done right. I told them to ring me again another time. While waiting, I looked them up on Companies House and saw the company was actually dissolved back on 4th February 2021. If they get back in touch like I asked, I’ll tell them to send me their request in writing - let’s see if that happens...

I got a call from someone calling himself 'Chris', saying he was from some Renewable Energy Database. He kept going on about how my home insulation could be causing dampness and insisted they offer a free inspection. The first thing he asked was how old I was, like that has anything to do with my insulation. Got a call from someone called Matthew claiming to be from the Local Energy Company about some "follow up on loft insulation". Told him I don't even have a loft and he just said sorry and ended the call. Seems pretty convincing though. These calls keep coming, mostly from a bloke named Chris who insists he knows I'm the homeowner. The last time I told him, "You clearly don't know a thing, do you?" and he just dropped the call.
