3 yearsI got a call earlier today from a number that looked local, from Chester, saying there was a £300 charge on my Amazon and also nearly £1000 being taken from my bank internationally. It was some recorded message, and obviously I picked up since the number seemed trusted. But this is definitely a dodgy scam. I actually work at a bank and we never send recorded calls like that asking you to press buttons to approve or stop payments.
