I received a rather suspicious call purporting to be from HMRC, or so the voice on the line proclaimed. However, it soon became apparent that it was merely a robotic nuisance. The disembodied voice ominously informed me that they were in the process of issuing an arrest warrant against me on charges of tax fraud. Naturally, I’ve since blocked that number!

Got a call about cancelling debts but no idea who was calling, so I just ended the call.

Got a call saying it was from HMRC, threatening legal action against me. Sounded dodgy, so I reckon it’s just a scam.

Got a call from someone saying they could clear my unsecured debts without any cost, but they wouldn’t specify what debts they meant. When I told them I didn’t owe anything like that, they got really rude and just hung up on me.
