Got a call about some made-up crash involving my flatmate, who’s the account holder on our phone bill. They only had his first initial and surname. When I asked when this supposed accident took place, they just mumbled “sometime in the last few years.” Then, when I requested the company’s address, all I got was “south west london.” I told them we’re signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, said their call was illegal, and asked them to put our number on their do not call list - that’s when they just hung up on me.

Got a call earlier from what they said was the Vodafone loyalty team, but really it’s just a call centre pushing for you to sign up to more deals. Totally legit, just a bit annoying to get hassled like that.

So, this number popped up on my computer and it looked really dodgy. I tried to just leave it be but it wouldn’t disappear no matter what. I had to restart my PC and then it finally went away. I decided to google the number afterwards and turns out they’re scammers. Seriously, don’t ring them, alright? Stay safe!
