Got a call on the landline here in Strathclyde from an Asian guy pretending to be with BT. For those assuming it’s just a loud CALL CENTRE, think again - he clearly plays a background sound of a noisy office to make it sound legit. It’s like some phone company lets these dodgy calls get through and hit loads of people. If we can trace the number, why isn’t anything being done to stop them from running this scam?

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT. When I said I don't have any services with them or their partner firms, they seemed a bit confused. I told them to hang on while I sorted out a Nigerian prince on the next line who wanted to chat about some inheritance. After a bit, they called back again.

Got a call that was totally silent, then they just dropped the call. Tried calling them back, but like with most of these dodgy calls, the number didn’t show up anywhere. So, I’ve blocked it now.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from BT and that my internet would be disconnected soon. My call blocker picked up this number and figured I’d have a quick look on your site before replying. Honestly, cheers for the info - it saved me from calling some pest and getting stressed out. I received a rather alarming phone call from a gentleman of Asian descent, who ominously threatened to shoot me.

Some bloke with a strong Asian accent called, sounded like a call centre. Claimed he was from BT, I just said "Alright then," but wasn’t convinced at all. He told me there was an issue with my internet. I told him straight up, "I don't have BT." He just went, "Oh, right. Bye," and slammed the phone down. Honestly, just stop calling!

Wasnt sure who was calling since it was on the landline, so I just let it ring out. Reading others comments, they just keep switching their numbers - it’s proper sneaky! Looks like the code is Welsh but dunno if the people behind it are actually based in Wales. I’ve got an elderly relative who got caught out by one of these dodgy calls.
