6 monthsThis number has rung me twice already this week. I ignored the first call and didn’t pick up the second one either because it looked unfamiliar. My phone even flagged it as a potential scam. Definitely blocked now.6 months01244 337679 phoned my landline today, Friday, 21 November at 12.36 hours. When I picked up the phone there was silence. Someone was on the phone but whoever it was did not speak. I believe it was a scam, nuisance call.6 monthsI didn’t pick up and they didn’t leave a voicemail either, so I’m guessing it’s probably some sort of scam. I’m not gonna block the number right now though, I’ll wait and see if they try ringing again.6 monthsI picked up, but there was complete silence on the other side, no sound at all. After a few seconds of nothing, they just ended the call.6 monthsGot a call from a number I didn’t recoginse, said they were from some energy advisory firm. They claimed my loft had old insulation that might lead to dampness and other issues. When I asked them to verify my address, they couldn't do it. Then I asked for details about the insulation, and again, no clear answers. Total scam, just all made up. Same trick I heard before but back then it was like an elderly lady on the line, now it's this posh sounding bloke. Definitely not to be trusted.6 monthsI didn’t pick up and they didn’t bother to leave any voicemail.6 monthsThe person on the phone spoke terrible English and claimed to be calling from MARKS and Spencer.MARKSSpencer7 monthsGot a call from someone selling door and window replacements, said his name was David. When I called him back, the answerphone said "This is the energy department, press 1 to speak to someone". I told him my number's on the TPS, and he cut me off straight away. Definitely not a proper company, they'd know about the Telephone Preference Service if they were legit. I'd recommend just hanging up if you get this call - it’s a total scam.DavidTPSSubmit Your Own Report (01244 337679)
