3 yearsHello, I’m Martin Perry and my phone number is 01244 314777. I want to make it clear that I’m just as affected by this scam as anyone else and I have no connection with these calls. What’s going on here is that fraudsters are using a trick called ‘call spoofing’ to make it look like the calls are coming from my number. Don’t just take my word; I’ve reported this straight to BT who have put a temporary block on outgoing calls from my line as a precaution. It might not stop everything, so the issue could still happen. Meanwhile, it’s best not to pick up if that number pops up on your screen. The guy on the line insisted I follow some instructions involving a password, but I told him I don’t just do what anyone orders me to do, never have. That’s when he went off, swearing at me and telling me to f*** off. I didn’t hold back either.
