Got a call at 11.42pm from a number I didn’t know, so I looked it up here. Saw the last comment was from over a year back, figured I’d add mine. Been getting loads of dodgy calls recently, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked this number too since it seemed fishy and others mentioned scams as well.

I got a call from this number saying my internet would be disconnected in a day or two. So, I rang Virgin to check and they told me it wasn’t them. Seems like 01243 512443 is involved in loads of scams, not just the usual NHS or insurance stuff.

Today I got a call from 01243 956543. A bloke claimed he was ringing from some Covid-19 support centre and asked if I’d had my jabs and if I felt any side effects. I told him I was fully vaccinated with no issues. Then he started asking about whether I had life insurance. I said no. He sounded a bit shocked and repeated the question. I said again I hadn't got any, then he just ended the call. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

Got a call from a woman who sounded like she was in some call centre - had a really strong Asian accent. She claimed to be from the NHS and wanted to ask about covid symptoms after having the vaccine. My husband wasn’t convinced she was legit and told her so, and then the line went dead. Seriously, how do these scumbags manage to sleep at night, using covid as an excuse to scam people? If they ring again, I’m definitely not gonna be as polite - won’t be pulling any punches with my language!

Somebody rang me saying they were from the NHS track and trace and started asking about my vaccine status and if I had my vaccine certificates. I told them I don’t need any certificates. Then they started asking if I had life insurance to pay for any treatment. I was like, why would I need life insurance? If you’re really from the NHS, it shouldn’t be your business. I told the woman right away I knew she wasn’t with the NHS and that it sounded like a scam, then I just ended the call.

I got a call from this number, and it showed up as potential SPAM on my mobile. It's a number from Chichester. When I picked up, a lady with a South Asian accent asked me if I had received my Booster vaccination certificate. I enquired about who she was trying to reach, and she mentioned "Mr xxxx," which was amusingly correct as she got my first name right! At that moment, I kindly indicated that it might be best for her to leave me alone... though I didn’t express it quite so politely! 🙄 I hung up, allowing my phone to categorise the number as spam. If you attempt to ring the number back-using 141 for privacy purposes-it’s perpetually engaged.

Then out of nowhere, they start talking about unpaid bills and ask how you plan to pay them! I don't owe anything to the NHS, so it was obviously dodgy. Just put the phone down and block the caller. Then they shifted to asking about my life insurance. Once I began to question their identity and the reason behind their call, they suddenly started chatting in another language with a colleague before abruptly disconnecting. Rather suspicious, if you ask me.

This bloke called me, sounded Indian and said he was from the NHS. When I refused to share my info, he started going off, saying stuff like all Brits are filthy and should die, ending with "Allah wills it" before hanging up. It was really nasty. I've had about three or four scam calls this week alone and I'm baffled why the police or government aren’t doing more about it. That comment felt like some kind of serious threat, maybe even terrorism-related, but I don't really know where to report something like that.

I received a dodgy call purporting to be from the NHS, it was clearly someone not from these shores. The caller was inquiring about debts and mentioned putting me in touch with a debt advisor. When I accused her of being a fraud, a man’s voice piped in and abruptly ended the call! Steer clear of these con artists!

Got a call tonight from a lady with an Indian accent saying she was from the NHS. I’m pretty sure the NHS wouldn’t ring you from a call centre with loads of background noise like that. So, I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent who sounded like her English wasn’t great.
