just moved into a rented flat and the agency sent someone round to check it out. they asked if i wanted a tv, phone or internet set up. told them everything was already sorted, then they just said have a nice day and left.

I was looking after a mate’s dog when the landline rang. A bloke, sounding middle-aged with a Portsmouth accent, asked straight up for my mate by his first name. He didn’t mention any company or leave a number, just said “Tell Paul to ring me back” and then cut off. I called my mate but he was clueless about who the caller might be. I checked the number using 1471 - it had the same area code, but round here, landlines usually begin with 6 or 8, so it felt a bit odd. Pretty worrying since my mate never shares his home number with anyone.

I got a call the other day, sounded like a bloke in his forties with a proper Portsmouth accent. Seemed like he was asking about something on the phone, maybe trying to get info or whatever. Funny how some calls come outta nowhere like that!
