I ignored the call since they left no voicemail - probably just some random cold caller. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Some bloke named Dilan phoned me claiming he was my personal rep from Vodafone. He told me they've begun using local area codes for calls to make them seem more trustworthy and familiar. He asked me to save his number and promised that once my contract ended, I could ring him to sort out my next deal. He said he could knock 20% off any Vodafone offer. He sounded quite friendly but I’m a bit iffy about whether this is legit. Honestly, I don't trust phone calls nowadays.

Just to add to what I said before... I popped the number into Vodafone's phone number checker on their site and it came up saying it's not actually a Vodafone number.
