Got a call about half an hour ago from a lady who was talking really fast, saying something about the energy supplier for my place. I tried to ask which property she meant but she just kept rambling on. Told her to slow down and then she just ended the call. Definitely a scam.

Received a dodgy call attempting to fish for banking details. Exercise utmost vigilance if you come across numbers beginning with 01243.... I've blocked the number and alerted the online fraud unit of the City of London police. It's wise to notify the Telephone Preference Service as well. Stay safe!

Got a call showing Chichester as the location. The person claimed to be from O2 (not convinced at all!) and tried to sell me a contract like mine but cheaper. I told them no thanks. The bloke was quite polite, said alright and wished me a happy new year. I'm putting the call down as 'unknown' since it wasn’t pushy, even though I’m pretty sure it wasn’t really O2.

There was absolutely no audio to be heard at first, just a bizarre robotic chatter that kicked in after about eight seconds. Then, they promptly ended the call barely a second later. It’s quite likely that it was one of those dodgy scams with a malfunctioning automated voice. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!
