I got a call from someone saying they were from BT Openreach, saying there was an issue with my router. Complete rubbish, I have a brand new BT Smart Hub 2 that's working fine. The woman on the phone had dodgy English and sounded really anxious, plus the background noise they had sounded totally fake like a call centre. I’m pretty sure it’s a scam trying to get your personal details, so best not to engage with them. This happened around 05/02/20, somewhere near Leeds.

I’ve had this number ring me more than 7 times already, and I’m clueless how they even got hold of my digits. I ended up blocking them now.

Apparently this number belongs to a garage, but somehow it's been copied and someone else is using it. The calls aren't actually from the garage, and the person on the line says nothing, just silence. They're in the middle of fixing it with BT right now, so if you're curious who’s ringing before you pick up or call back, that's the story. :)

Lately, we've been getting about a hundred calls daily from people telling us they saw a missed call from our number, but we've never called any of them. It seems like our number might have been cloned or copied somehow. Unfortunately, Openreach says there's nothing they can do to fix it. Our advice if you get a call from our number is just to block it. Sorry for any confusion, especially about repairs.

Someone rang me claiming they’re from some domain security company. They mentioned a website that hasn’t even existed for ages and then asked for my IP details. Felt really dodgy to me.

This person said they were hosting our website but couldn’t provide any names or references to back it up. After I kept firing questions at him, he just gave up and stopped responding. Quite suspicious if you ask me!

I tried calling what I thought was a genuine garage, but it seems their phone line's been taken over or messed up for now. From what I can tell, Openreach should be sorting this issue out. So let's not blame the garage for this as it doesn't seem like their doing at all.

Our number, 01243 543619, is for AB Repairs, but something odd is happening with the line. We reckon it might have been cloned or maybe there's some kind of line mix-up. Openreach are currently checking it out for us.

I've been getting calls from a number that says it's from a firm named AB Repairs in Chichester, but I reckon their number's been copied or something. In the past day and a half, they've rung twice but hung up just as I was about to pick up on handsfree. Quite strange.

I was busy on a different call when this number rang my work landline, so I didn’t pick up. Actually, I also missed a call from them during my lunch yesterday. I tried ringing them back once, but the call just cut off straight away. After reading the reviews here, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number. Cheers for the heads up!
