Got a call from this number but all I heard was silence, and it showed up as International on my phone. If it's a UK number, it shouldn't be appearing like that. This has to be one of those spoofed numbers where they try to trick you by faking their caller ID. It's ridiculous that these phony calls aren’t blocked straight away by the system. I've reported it and added it to my block list via 1572.

Got a call from some Microsoft lot in India and I couldn't help myself, had a good laugh winding them up. Perfect way to waste 20 mins when you're stuck inside feeling rough with a cold on a rainy day. Nothing worth watching on telly and just pure boredom!

They’ve rung me two times this week, once in the morning and then again around lunch. Each time, the call just drops off without any word.

I let every call go straight to my voicemail, and as soon as the caller realises there’s no one to talk to, they usually hang up. But if it’s one of those “Kevin or Joseph” types from India, claiming to be with Microsoft and talking about my PC, I do pick up. I then just keep interrupting and ask when they’re going to send back my laptop, which I supposedly sent off for fixing weeks ago. Most times they get annoyed, swear at me, or just abruptly hang up! Another trick I use is to say seriously before they get a word in that they’ve reached the location of a murder, and I’m Detective Inspector so-and-so, recording their calls and tracing their number, with police on their way. They go dead quiet and then cut off sharpish every time! It’s good fun messing with them, but be careful never to share any details!

Got calls from some bloke called Dave saying he was from Microsoft, rang me three times today alone. Same thing happened yesterday and the day before too! I’ve told Dave off proper, yet he keeps ringing. With the 5-hour gap between the UK and India, it’s obvious when these call centres work their shifts. Honestly, they should just shut it down. Wait a sec... Dave’s ringing me again right now!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft, saying my account was getting hacked and they needed to help me fix it immediately. They sounded really pushy, like it was an emergency. They kept telling me to sign in to my computer or laptop, but I told them I don’t actually own either. They insisted I must have one if my account is under attack. I kept saying again that I don’t have a PC or laptop and then suddenly they just hung up. I tried calling back using 1471 then 3, but the number wasn’t even recognised! Definitely a scam if you ask me.

There's no way this is Repsol. They’re a South African firm dealing globally in stuff like oil and gas exploration, refining, petrochemicals - definitely not hacking. These scammers, who are actually from India, use the old AMMY scam trick. They have no consistent identity and their phone numbers change all the time. They can’t disconnect your internet or do any real harm. If you want a laugh, wait till they start pretending to be hard of hearing, going "aye, aye" over and over, then cussing like mad. Just don’t ever let them on your computer or follow their commands, just keep saying "aye" and watch them lose their temper!

Some bloke rang me, said he was Dave from Microsoft and claimed my computer was full of viruses from hackers. I played along at first while he kept me hanging on, giving me some sort of ID number. After that, he asked me to power up my computer so he could guide me through fixing it. That was when I’d had enough - I told him I wasn’t interested any longer and made it clear I was ending the chat. Then I just hung up.

This number has been calling me loads lately, even early in the morning which drags me out of bed. I don't pick up, no messages left either. They seem to know how many rings it takes before my answerphone kicks in, cos after the first ring they hang up quicker. Honestly, I'm right there with everyone else, it's really annoying. Someone's obviously got hold of my home number and ever since, I've been getting nonstop calls - like 50 a day - on and off for a good three weeks now. The only advice I've been given is to change my number, but I've had this one for over two decades without any issues. Worst part is some of the calls have been really nasty.

Got a call on my mobile from someone claiming to be David W Harris solicitors. When I checked, they're actually located in Wales, nowhere near Chichester like the area code suggested! About ten minutes later, the same number showed up on my landline. I didn't pick up and went ahead and blocked the number straight away.

A guy phoned me pretending to be from Microsoft, saying my PC was infected with a virus. When I asked him which computer he was talking about, he kept saying it didn’t matter. I dragged out the conversation, arguing that it did matter, and then started accusing him of being a fraud. He shot back, “If I’m not from Microsoft, then who do you think I work for?” The moment I called him a scammer, he hung up on me. I wasted about five minutes messing with him, but yeah, this number’s definitely dodgy.

Yep, got a call from some Indian bloke pretending to be from Microsoft, saying my computer was hacked or something. I could even hear a colleague in the background dealing with the exact same scam call at the same time. These dodgy calls seem to happen every day, coming from all sorts of numbers, some overseas and others from within the UK. Best thing to do is just end the call and block them straight away. Won't stop them completely, mind you, but it’s the easiest way to deal with it.

Like others have said, this bloke claimed to be ringing from Microsoft. There’s just no way Microsoft would be using the number he called me on. Been getting calls like this every day for a couple of weeks now. I reported one similar call from a different number to the UK police as a scam. One caller even tried to get me to log into my PC and fiddle with the settings, which sounded dodgy AF. Now, I just tell them I don’t have a computer and they hang up straight away.

I got two calls from this number with nothing but silence. The third time, some bloke speaking with an Indian accent but trying to sound American said he was from Microsoft (which we all know is dodgy). He kept going on for ages before the call suddenly dropped with that weird noise you hear when the line’s cut. These scammers must be using some tech trickery to make it look like a UK landline on your phone, which probably messes with any call blockers you’ve got. Just save the number to your blocked list and they shouldn’t bug you again.
