This morning, we got a call from an Asian guy with the usual tale about some issue with our router. I just told him we were tied up and had the phone off.

I got a call earlier from that same number, the guy claimed he was from BT. I told him BT wouldn’t be calling me like that, and he just started shouting and swearing at me. Honestly, something really needs to be done to catch these scammers and put a stop to this sort of behaviour.

Got another dodgy call pretending to be from BT today. You can spot these ones a mile off - always an Asian accent with a very British-sounding name. Ask them to show you page “xyz” in their manual and they quickly get muddled and start getting rude. Honestly, I think it’s about time these calls were properly blocked, but it’ll take loads of teamwork across countries, and that looks unlikely right now. Don’t be fooled into thinking the TPS has got your back completely - it helps a bit, but not as much as people reckon.

Some bloke with an Indian accent said his name was something very British and claimed to be calling from BT. He warned that our BT service would be cut off in a couple of hours, probably trying to pressure us into paying straight away. When I told him I’d ring BT myself, he just ended the call. Total scam, no doubt about it.

I received a call from this number at about 11:10 this morning. An Asian lady with a heavy accent was on the other end. The only legible part was my name, which she seemed to recognise. It appears most British scammers are off enjoying a holiday today. I have a strong suspicion this was just another spam or bothersome call.

Totally dodgy call! Got through on Easter Monday from some call centre in Asia with a really fake-sounding "Daisy Smith" claiming to be from BT Open Reach, offering to fix my internet which isn't even faulty. As soon as I started asking stuff, they went silent and hung up. A couple of weeks back, these same fraudsters conned my stepmum out of £5,000. Luckily her bank managed to recover the cash, but still, these awful scammers scored for a while. I reckon the best we can do now is warn everyone we know so they don’t fall for the same trick.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent who said her name was "Susan" and that she was ringing from BT Open Reach's tech team. First off, we’ve never had any deal with BT. This call came through on Easter Monday, a proper bank holiday. They just want you chatting to them to confirm your phone number and info. Honestly, best to just hang up and not get involved. We’re on the do-not-call list anyway, so shouldn’t be bothered with these nuisance calls. Clearly, they don’t care. Probably pocket a commission for every confirmation they get. Not a very honest way of working at all!

Got a call from an asian guy who said there was an issue with our BT router, something they claimed happened a couple of months back. Mentioned checking our internet speed since we recently switched to fibre optic. The whole chat was pretty confusing cause I'm not great with tech stuff. They tried to tell us we could get £408 compensation but then asked us to log into our bank to confirm some direct debit payment. I told them no way, and then they got pretty annoyed and just ended the call.

Got a call last week from someone claiming they were from a sewage firm. I told them to get lost right away. Then today, a different person rang but I didn't pick up - now I kinda wish I had, could've told them a thing or two, especially on a bank holiday! It’s unbelievable how these cheeky lot get away with it. Why can’t we just take legal action against them? The rules really need sorting out.

I began tapping random keys on my phone, then he told me, "Cut it out," and promptly ended the call. Definitely some sort of scammer, no doubt about it.

So I got a call from some bloke called Ryan, sounded like he was from the Indian sub-continent, claiming to be from BT tech support. Said my internet had issues that needed fixing, which was a load of rubbish as everything's fine here. I told him straight, don’t bother ringing me back.
