I usually just let my answerphone pick up because I don’t recognise most numbers. Only if the caller sounds like someone I know or it seems legit do I bother answering. Loads of these calls turn out to be spammers anyway.

When I picked up the phone, there was an immediate dial tone but no one was there. Then, trying to ring the number back, it just said the number didn’t exist. Strange!
