I usually tell them I’ve been in a crash that wasn’t my doing, on a bend so tight it basically took me head off. Then I say I’m looking to claim for some surgery to stick my head back on, but this time on a fitter, younger body because mine was starting to go a bit saggy. Just got a call earlier, some accident claim lot saying “based on your info” and their maths, you’re entitled to £6,000 compensation. They asked for a £20 fee just to kick things off. Thing is, it’s not really about the £20 - they just want your card details, and that’s the sneaky bit!
