When I asked a simple question they ought to have known, they just fumbled and went back to their usual sales pitch rubbish.

I've received quite a few silent phone calls today and the day before. It’s rather puzzling!

Got a silent call earlier today, so I rang back. The number says it’s from the central audit or auditors office, but there’s no option to leave a voicemail to ask them to take my number off their list. I managed to get through when I called from a blocked number. Honestly, I’d advise not calling them back unless you can hide your number too, just in case it’s some kind of scam that could land you with an expensive phone bill.
