Got a call from an Asian bloke, quite tricky to catch what he was saying. Sounded like he was from UK National and wanted to do some survey questions. I kept asking what company he was with but he just ignored it and kept on with his questions. Eventually he just hung up when I pressed for details. I’ve blocked the number now.

BE CAREFUL NOT TO SHARE ANY PERSONAL INFO WITH THEM. I’ve caught myself giving bits by accident. Like when they ask “Could you verify your birthdate?” and you say it, then they go “Yep, that’s right according to our files”. How on Earth would they already have your DOB? Got a silent phone call from these lot on a Saturday at 9:12am! I answered thinking it was someone I knew.

Got a call from an energy firm, they already had my info but I didn’t confirm anything. They tried to get me to do a survey, which I declined. Told them to take my details off their database - doubt they will though. Even though GDPR requires them to do it. The data protection people really ought to put a stop to this nonsense!

Blocking calls service - the man already knew my name and address. I told him my birthday which matched his info, but my debit card expiry date was different from what he had. Then he wanted my full debit card number to verify things. When I came back to the phone with my card in hand, he’d already disconnected.

They said they're from the UK again, but this time from a different phone number. I told them to take my details off their list. The guy said he wasn’t trying to sell me anything. I told him it doesn’t matter, they’ve called me before and I don’t want any more calls. Tried reporting it to the Telephone Preference Service, but since it’s market research there’s nothing really they can do. So frustrating! 😡

01242581262 keeps ringing me, they kept apologising and said they’re not interested in what they wanted, but my number is unlisted so how did they get it? They keep calling every 20 seconds now. I don’t even pick up but it’s so FRUSTRATING. I’ve already made it clear, LEAVE ME ALONE. How come people and companies can just sell your phone number about? I never do surveys or give my number except to close mates and family. Not even my doctor or dentist have it. These calls are proper harassment and should be stopped.

This bloke said he was with some call preference thing and could stop all my annoying calls. I told him my phone provider already sorted that. When I asked where he got my number from, he just hung up. Didn't take long before I blocked him. Bet he thought I was daft or something. Total scam.

Got two silent rings from the same number today and on the third try this bloke comes on with a strange Asian accent saying his name is Simon and he can put a stop to all my annoying calls. I said I guessed it would cost a lot, couldn’t quite catch if he said £19 or £99. Naturally, I said no thanks. Honestly, what’s the deal with these folks? Got a call from 01242 581262, bloke spoke with a foreign accent, said he was from some 'Call Guardian' wanting to help block spam calls in the UK. Then he asked who sorts out the bills, sounded dodgy to me so I just hung up straight away.

He claimed he was calling from Asphalt UK ???? Spoke good English but had a clear accent from the Indian sub-continent. Wanted me to take part in a survey. Knew my full name and address already. First thing he asked was my age, but when I said I’d rather not say, he sounded a bit pushy and questioned why I even agreed to the survey in the first place. I told him I wasn’t aware of the questions, then decided to stop answering and ended the call. Seems like a dodgy number for sure.

It wasn’t a silent call, but the woman, Susan, who didn’t speak English very well, said she was calling from the National Health Department!! She mentioned some survey I supposedly filled in about aches and pains, which I never did, and the only pain I have is from that annoying call! I probably should have played along to see what it was really about, but honestly, I’ve got better things to do. This kind of call could easily confuse vulnerable folks into thinking it’s the NHS, so just be careful!

Picked up thinking it was someone about blocking spam calls, voice sounded foreign. When I asked the price, he said it wasn’t weekly or monthly but a one-time £98 fee. I didn’t hold back, told him to jog on straight away, like does he even know how little pension I get? If folks like him stopped being pests, we wouldn’t even have to buy stuff like that. Ended the call quite sharply.
