Got an automated call from this number earlier today. Didn’t get who they said they were, so had to do a bit of digging. Was something about a contested village hall music licence, which I’ve already complained about officially but still waiting on a reply from PPL PRS Ltd. Oriel’s aware of the situation. I’ve called it harassment before and it’s still going on. I refuse to sort this out on the phone because there’s no proof. Blocked the number.

Got calls from a scammer who tries using a local accent to sound legit. They keep ringing over and over. Pretty clear it’s a scam cause they never ask for anyone specifically or say what it’s about, just keep making it sound like it’s important right away.

They said they were from Oriel and gave me a ref number, which I noted down. But then they started asking loads of questions I wasn’t comfortable answering. I saw some other comments saying it’s about chasing payments for some music licence, but I don’t have any ties to places that would need one of those! This has to be a total scam since our music licence isn’t up for renewal anytime soon. We’ve never had any calls, letters, or emails from Oriel before. If a company just wants YOU to ring them first, I’d say that’s a big red flag and not to be trusted at all.

I called them back and they wanted a reference number first, then my postcode. Since I'm part of a few groups, I gave them the one I thought was most probable - a village hall with a music licence. Turns out he didn’t seem to recognise it and said it wasn’t the right one, which felt a bit off. Their suggestion was just to hang on for their call with the reference number, but honestly, that ain’t gonna happen. I’ve blocked the number now.

I’ve been receiving daily calls from a firm named Oriel Collections, relentlessly pursuing a payment for a music licence related to our shop. Despite repeatedly informing them that we don’t play any music in our office, they continue to hound us. We even extended an invitation for them to visit our premises at their convenience for a verification, as we genuinely have nothing to conceal. However, they’ve responded by saying such checks aren’t necessary and are still insisting on immediate payment! We’re absolutely exasperated by this situation and it’s starting to feel like harassment at this point.

Oriel Collections keeps ringing us up, claiming they're after a music licence payment. Every time they ring, the reason they give for the call changes - one minute it's a "personal matter," next it's a "personal call," and so on, it’s like they can’t keep their story straight. They’re relentless, calling every day, but we don't even play any music in our office. We’ve asked them multiple times to send someone over to check our premises properly, but they flat out refuse, insisting we just have to pay without any sort of inspection. At this point, it’s getting really stressful and feels like outright harassment with the constant daily calls.
