I asked them how on earth they knew I had any malware in the first place, then they hung up sharpish. Even if it was Virgin calling, there’s no way they can check my files remotely. It’s just scammers trying to get into your system and plant nasty stuff to control your computer. Best to tell them to jog on. While we were talking, I quickly ran a speed test on my broadband and it was perfectly fine.
