So, this woman rang me on my mobile saying she was some kind of energy advisor for our area and asked if I owned the house. When I asked her what organisation she was with, she just hung up. She spoke with a clear, proper English accent though.

Here we go again with these calls. Microsoft will NEVER ring you up out of the blue. It’s just a scam to steal your info and mess with your bank or computer. Really wish these dodgy calls would just stop!

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT, saying something about my bill. I mentioned the number's ex-directory, and then they asked if I was actually a BT customer. Total scam, since we don't even have BT services.

Got a call a third time now but from a totally different area code. The first two calls claimed to be from Microsoft, with one of the callers speaking Indian instead of English. This last call didn’t even get through to me, they just dropped the line. After reading these comments, I doubt they’d have got anything useful from me anyway.

Got a call from this number earlier, followed by a text claiming to be from BT. The message was a bit off though - a real BT message would say "you'll only be able to use it once," but this one said "You can only use it once." Made me suspicious straight away. When I told the person I thought it was a scam, they kept pushing and even rang back again. I’ve blocked the number now and honestly, would recommend everyone else do the same to avoid any hassle.

This number rang my home phone, which is strictly reserved for my nearest and dearest. I don't share this number with anyone and I've even signed up with the telephone preference service, meaning it shouldn't be in circulation. I only pick up calls from familiar contacts, so I have no clue who it could be. However, I’m quite keen to find out just how they managed to obtain my number!

Got a call on my home phone from this number claiming to be BT. They told me there was some dodgy traffic on my internet and said it was some kind of fraud, also said my IP might have been hacked or something. Weirdly, just as they were talking, I got a text on my mobile with a PIN code and it also said it was from BT. Pretty sneaky, but I’m guessing it’s a scam attempt for sure.

I could sense right from the off that this was an absolute scam. When I pointed it out, the chap just replied, “Oh, so it’s a scam, whatever,” and promptly cut the line. It’s a shambolic effort at cold calling, clearly the work of someone stuck in their mum’s spare room, possibly on some ridiculous medication. What a farce!

Got a call from someone calling themselves the 'national debt agency' looking for me - but they used my maiden name, which I haven’t gone by in over 40 years! Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

I’m stuck with this company as a customer, and they’re fully aware that one of my contracts is nearly finished. At least once every month, they call me pushing more deals that I keep turning down. If my credit score was better, I definitely wouldn’t still be with them. They’re such a hassle and their interest rates are ridiculously high. I’ve just blocked their number now!
