Got a call from some Road Traffic Accident dept claiming to be Erica Marshall, with the thickest south Asian accent I’ve ever come across. She was asking about some accident I supposedly had last year or maybe the year before. I told her to fill me in since she seemed to have all the details, not me. She just hung up. Definitely a con call, but I’m glad I messed with them enough to hopefully block them next time.

I kept the scammer chatting for quite a bit, went on about all sorts of nonsense, even said I had an accident at a traffic light and had an embarrassing moment. After about 16 minutes, she just said they weren’t bothered about the accident anymore. Bit of a letdown really. :)

Just got a call from these dodgy scammers. The bloke had a South Asian accent and was saying I’d had some sort of accident in the past couple of years. When I told him I’d take legal action for defamation, he started swearing at me. That’s when I ended the call and blocked the number straight away!

They replied that they needed to speak directly with the person registered there. I told them I was that person and no one else lived here. dodgy call! make sure you report any dodgy calls right away. just google ‘action fraud’ and head to the official ‘police-uk’ website. find the section for ‘report phishing attempts’ and have a proper read of whats there. then you can put all the scam details right into the police’s system. pop in any links or website info you got. you don’t have to register or give any personal details. reporting these scams is how the police get a clear picture of how often these frauds are happening.
