I answered the phone and there was a strange delay before anyone spoke, like the call was being connected to someone who hadn’t actually rung me. A lady claiming to be Janet said she was from BT support, saying I’d got a problem with my internet. I told her I wasn’t even online, then she insisted I open up some internet page and follow her steps. When I asked where she was calling from, she just cut me off. She definitely had an Indian accent and sounded like she was working out of some dodgy call centre or something like that.
