Could this be a scam, perhaps? The caller professed to represent 'Phones Ltd' (albeit his accent was a bit difficult to grasp) and was touting an "iPhone for just £35 a month - what do you reckon?" I swiftly informed him that I wasn’t interested. When I inquired as to how he acquired my number, given that I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service, he claimed they collaborate with all the major phone providers, which supposedly explained how he obtained my details. I insisted he remove my number from their list and subsequently blocked his number.

What cracked me up this time was my response - I told him straight that I recognised it as a scam, yet he persisted in chattering away.
