When I picked up there was a bit of a pause, sounded like one of those call centre calls straight away. The bloke on the line had an Indian accent and was asking to talk to whoever handles my gas and electric bills. I told him no thanks and ended the call.

They said they were from BT, but I wasn’t convinced, so I told them I’d ring back later. Thing is, the number they gave me doesn’t show up anywhere. How come this sort of thing keeps going on? You’d think since they’re using a phone line, it should be easy to track ’em down, right? Surely line rental means they’re not invisible?

This bloke claims he knows all sorts about you, but it’s just a scam. He was trying to trick me into giving my bank info, all under the guise of lowering my phone bill. Total con artist!
