this number rang up my dad, who’s 90, and the caller said they worked for microsoft and claimed there was a virus on his computer that they could clear up. my dad, being sharp, guessed it was a scam and said he already had someone to handle it before ending the call.

I picked up the phone but didn’t get any answer back, and then the call was just cut off. Felt like it was some kind of scam.
