Got a call just today at lunchtime, 13/10/2016, from a Cheltenham area code. Tried ringing back but the number was unreachable. After a quick Google search, it definitely seemed like a scammer.

Somebody said they were from TalkTalk, saying there was an issue with my internet. When I said I use Sky (even though I don't), they just ended the call.

Got a call from an Indian lady claiming there was some kinda virus and issues with my TalkTalk internet. I mentioned the police were keeping an eye on things, and she just said 'fine, let them' and then ended the call. Definitely sounded like a scam.
