Got a call from a 'no caller id' number, some bloke with an Indian accent saying he's from Nationwide. He asked me to confirm my postcode and age (apparently over 75), then if I was happy with my bank service, and just cut off after that. Just a heads up, this defo isn’t Nationwide calling. Don’t really know what he was trying to do yet.

Then he just said thanks and ended the call. Like another person mentioned here, I reckon they're trying to match voices with our info. Got a call from a no caller ID earlier today. Picked up and a guy with an Indian accent said he was from Nationwide Credit Card, asked me to confirm my name and address, if I was happy with Nationwide, and if I was under 75. I answered but then he just hung up. Rang Nationwide right after and they said they hadn’t called me. Told Nationwide about the call just in case.

What a dodgy call centre! I’ve got relatives in Arbroath, so I answered, but as soon as I asked what it was regarding they just hung up on me. They mentioned something about Nationwide but gave me a wrong postcode. When I called back, it said the number was out of service. When they asked about my age being under 79, I actually told the truth for once :-) Then came the question about what phone I had, iPhone or Samsung, so I glanced at my Samsung and just said “GPO 162”. They finished by thanking me for letting them take me off their list. Result!
