Someone rang me pretending to be from BT, saying they wanted to boost my broadband speed. They asked how many lights were blinking on my router, and I told them ‘none’, which seemed to throw them off. I immediately asked for their identity and the account holder's name, but they couldn’t give me any details and quickly put me through to a ‘supervisor’. The tone became really hostile and pushy, trying to get me to change some number on the router. When I said I thought it was a scam and that my broadband was working fine, they got even more annoyed. I just hung up after that.
