they keep asking for brian every time. no matter how many numbers i block, there’s always a new one ringing. i haven’t heard any foul language yet, but i can feel it’s only a matter of time. these callers seem to stick with one number temporarily before switching to another. can’t anyone track down who’s behind this and get them stopped? i guess not, since clearly someone’s lining their pockets from it all.

Got a call from this number earlier, some bloke saying he was from Virgin Media. He went on about my internet being slow and cutting out, but it was all nonsense. I rang Virgin to check and they said it wasn’t them. So yeah, definitely a scam, watch out!

Got a few calls from an unknown number but they just went straight to voicemail without leaving anything. Nearly picked up the first one 'cos I thought it might be the hospital ringing back, but lucky I held off.

I kept getting calls early in the morning supposedly from Virgin Media saying my internet was down. I told them I don't have Virgin, but they just kept ringing. It was waking me and my daughter up at ridiculous times, so I snapped and told them to get lost. Then I got a call back with some really nasty language, saying awful things. Honestly, I'm really upset about this!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Virgin Media saying there were viruses on a computer at our address. I told them we use Linux and he just hung up on me. Sounds like that classic “pay to fix your viruses” trick. Be careful out there!

Some bloke said he was from Virgin, saying he was working with BT or something. He hassled my mum and dad for ages until I grabbed the phone. He kept pushing to get into our router and got all annoyed when we said no. Felt dodgy right away, so I just ended the call. Then he kept ringing back asking for my dad. I ended up ringing BT myself to check if they’d sent anyone - they hadn't a clue about it. From what I told them, it seemed like he wanted to put some software on the computer to steal bank info or credit card stuff. Proper con artist preying on older folks!

Some bloke said he was ringing from Virgin, but I told him I'm not with Virgin. When I didn’t want to say who I actually use, he just cut the call.

Got a call claiming to be from Virgin about my broadband. When I barely responded, the bloke started telling me he loved me and even said he wanted to... well, you get the idea. Proper weird.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Virgin, wanted me to access my router online. Told them there's no way I'd do that through a phone call, and they just ended the call.

Also, never even asked me any security questions.

Got a call saying it was from my internet company, but they couldn’t even say which provider I was with. The line was crackly, like they were calling me from some dodgy public bike loo. They threw a few questions at me that made no sense and then just dropped the call. Strange experience!

I’ve been getting calls from this number all day long, several times every single day.
