I got a phone call from someone claiming to be BT Openreach about an issue with my broadband. The woman on the line had a strong Indian accent and kept calling me ma'm. As I’ve been caught out by scams before, I didn’t let her speak any longer. The number was a local one, 01239 623343, which I know is from Cardigan, a small town in Wales. I tried calling it back from my mobile and all I got was a message saying the number was wrong.
