I got this call from a woman and the sound was awful. I asked her what exactly she was trying to sell because I couldn’t catch a word. Then, out of nowhere, she just hung up on me. Quite rude!

This lady was impossible to understand at all. After asking her three times who she was, I just ended the call and have blocked the number now.

The guy said he had some discounts for Virgin mobiles, but his English was pretty bad. I just told him ‘no thanks’ and hung up straight away. Looking at what others have said, it seems like it was probably a scam.

This bloke had a thick Middle Eastern accent and said he was calling from Carphone Warehouse. He tried to get me to upgrade my phone plan with a deal that sounded way too good to be true. The whole thing was based on some dodgy info I apparently gave him, which wasn't even right. I'm almost certain it was a scam.

Got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent claiming he was ringing from Curry’s about my contract. I told him I’m not with Curry’s at all, then suddenly he switched to saying he was from EE and could lower my contract price. I kept telling him I don’t have any contract with anyone but he just kept talking over me. In the end, I had to hang up. Pretty sure it’s one of those scams. I’ve blocked the number since then.

A chap on the line claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse-sounded a bit Indian, if I’m honest. He started quizzing me about the place called Ceridigion, and before I knew it, he abruptly hung up! What a turn-up for the books!

I received a call from an Indian chap representing “Phonehouse” who was attempting to peddle budget smartphones and SIM cards. I must say, I couldn’t resist having a bit of fun with them for a while!

Over the past fortnight, I've received roughly five calls from a woman with a distinctly foreign accent who always begins with a cheery "How are you today?" before launching into a pitch about various phone offers. It was at that moment I decided to end the conversation. These calls appear to originate from a batch of numbers belonging to a mobile network that have unfortunately been compromised by scammers. My advice? Keep your details close to your chest-never disclose any personal information or email addresses, and don't hesitate to hang up immediately.

Received a call from someone purporting to be from Virgin, suggesting they had fantastic deals on mobile phones. They requested my email address under the pretence of sending more information, but I suspect it’s a ruse to send out dodgy links aimed at harvesting banking info. Stay vigilant, folks!

Got a call from some dodgy call centre number traced to Cardigan, Wales. I blocked it straight away. Pretty clear they’re just using a BT number they bought to hide their real location. BT really needs to step up and put an end to this nonsense. So annoying! 🤬

I received a call from them about upgrading my phone deal at an absurdly low price. When I showed interest, they requested my email address and then attempted to access my mobile account by sending a password reset link along with a so-called "secure password" they had concocted.
