This bloke had a thick Middle Eastern accent and said he was calling from Carphone Warehouse. He tried to get me to upgrade my phone plan with a deal that sounded way too good to be true. The whole thing was based on some dodgy info I apparently gave him, which wasn't even right. I'm almost certain it was a scam.

Got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent claiming he was ringing from Curry’s about my contract. I told him I’m not with Curry’s at all, then suddenly he switched to saying he was from EE and could lower my contract price. I kept telling him I don’t have any contract with anyone but he just kept talking over me. In the end, I had to hang up. Pretty sure it’s one of those scams. I’ve blocked the number since then.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Carphone Warehouse. The bloke had an Indian accent and started asking me about some place called Ceridigion. I just ended the call straight away.

Over the past couple weeks, I've gotten like 5 calls from a lady with a really foreign accent. She'd start off by asking how I was, then quickly switch to talking about phone plans. I ended the call each time as soon as that happened. Turns out these numbers belong to a network provider but have been taken over by scammers. Don’t share any info, email, or anything like that - just hang up right away!
