some bloke rang saying he was from the "electricity supplier". when i asked him who he thought we used, he said "british gas". we don't even have british gas where i live, so i knew straight away it was a scam. total rubbish.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Carphone Warehouse. They started asking for my name, address, and bank info. Then they tried to sell me a phone plan with better coverage from some company called phone-E-phone. When I said no, the guy told me to basically piss off. If you call them back, they say they’re from an energy provider but then the call just ends after a few seconds. Totally dodgy, definitely a scam.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Carphone Warehouse. After I ended that call, a short while later my phone rang again but this time it was from a Bangor number in North Wales. The caller was trying to convince me they could offer me a better deal than my existing contract.

Got a call from a couple of blokes claiming to be from "Carphone Warehouse," trying to get me to "upgrade" to an iPhone 13. When I told them I couldn’t quite catch what they were saying, they started yelling and then switched to ranting at me in Urdu. I mentioned I was actually after the iPhone 14, but they were dead set on pushing the "thirteenings." Not wanting outdated stuff, I asked if there was an option for the 13.5 model. That’s when a "supervisor" joined the chat, who couldn’t offer me the "iPhone thirteen and a halfings" either but suggested a "Samsungings" instead, although not the Note 17 I wanted. The guy then started shouting what I guess were swearwords in Urdu and abruptly ended the call. Totally legit, right?
