some bloke kept ringing me claiming he could sort my computer out, but i told him i dont even own one. he tried a few times so in the end i blocked his number. then he called from a different one and when i said "not you again" he just hung up on me.

A bloke called me, sounded to have a strong accent and said he was from some security firm. I asked what company, and he said Windows. I told him I don’t even own a PC. This is the third day I’ve got a call from this same number, like once every day.

I got a call from someone who started pointing out supposed issues with my computer and wanted me to log in. I told them I actually work in IT and that there’s no way they could tell any problems from their side. Guess what? As soon as I said that, they just hung up on me! Quite the surprise.

Loads of scammers from Asia keep calling me, so I just play along with them to stop them from tricking others. It’s a bit of fun and kills time if you’ve got nothing else to do.

This number has called me about six times in less than a week. I eventually picked up because apparently you can’t block it since it shows up as an invalid number. The guy on the line claimed there was an issue with my computer. Once I told him he wasn’t from our IT team, he just said “okay, no worries” and hung up. The accent was really strong and quite difficult to follow, definitely sounded like a scam or phishing attempt. Stay well clear of this one!

Got a call from this number around half one today. They wanted to know if I was sat at my computer. I messed around a bit before I just ended up letting the call drop.

I got a call from 01238537213, the bloke said his name was John and he had a funny accent. He claimed he was from Microsoft’s tech support team or something like that.

This number kept ringing me loads over a few days, I picked up one time but the call dropped right away. When I tried ringing back, it just said no service or something like that. I checked out the Who Called Me tool and loads of people had complaints about it, so I’ve blocked it now. Bet they’ll be back with a new number soon enough!

Got a call from some bloke, sounded like he was either Asian or African, but the line was really bad. Said his name was Matthew Smith but didn’t mention any company. He claimed there was a problem with my computer and asked if I was near it. I started asking how he knew about that and he just hung up. Funny thing is, I don’t even own a computer at home!

in the last couple of days I've gotten 5 calls from this number, but every time I answer, no ones there and the call just ends pretty quick. no talking or anything, just silence then they hang up.

Telephone scammer claiming to be from ‘Microsoft Windows’ phoned me saying my computer had major issues. Their aim seemed to be convincing me to give them remote access through msconfig, then they try to bill you for fake fixes. Stay well away from these con artists and never let them anywhere near your PC.

Got a call from a guy with an English accent who claimed my computer had some serious issues. Before I could even ask what he meant, he just cut the call. Pretty clear it was one of those dodgy scammers trying to trick me into giving away my computer info.

This bloke was saying my computer wasn’t updating right and asked me which one - I have a couple of them. I told him I’ve got two at home, he said yeah, those ones. I mentioned I was at work and pretty tied up. He wanted to call me at home but only during working hours, like 9 to 5. When I said I had to end it because I was busy at work, he got really annoyed. Honestly, I couldn’t make out half of what he was saying, way too pushy for my liking.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft, and I immediately told them I wasn’t falling for any trickery. I promptly blocked the number. Perhaps I’m being overly cautious, but I’ve had no luck uncovering any information about the caller’s number.
