Somebody called me pretending to be from Amazon Security, telling me my Amazon Prime was compromised and I needed to follow some steps to get a refund. After a bit of convincing, I stupidly allowed them to remotely access my computer by ticking a box, but then I got worried and ended the call straight away. They kept ringing me back non stop for like 30 minutes, but thankfully they gave up. I've checked my bank account multiple times since and nothing suspicious has shown up yet. Looks like I might’ve dodged a bullet this time.
