He gave his name but it slipped my mind already! He asked if I owned the house, I dodged that and asked what exactly he was trying to sell. He said something about loft insulation, which the old owner had already put in, so I thought I’d hear him out. But as soon as I started asking about the details, he just hung up.

This bloke said he was Tom, sounded English, and was ringing back about some government grant for loft insulation. Thing is, I’ve never been given any grant like that, so I told him he’d got the wrong number. He just hung up straight away after that.
