It’s a total scam, just folks trying to trick you into pressing 1 so they can cheekily get your personal details. I’m not falling for it. I received a rather dodgy call claiming to be from Amazon, stating my Prime membership was nearing its expiry (which, coincidentally, it actually was). They urged me to press 1 if I wished to cancel, and I definitely did not want to keep it going. So, I reached out to Amazon directly, and they assured me that they never reach out to customers over the phone regarding Prime subscriptions. Quite suspicious, indeed!

Scottish Borders rang but didn’t bother leaving a message on my voicemail. How on earth did they get hold of my number? It's ex-directory and I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service! I just had a peek at TPS to confirm. Is it possible that Amazon is now pestering us?

01237 475365 So, just like others have said, I got a call from someone with an Asian accent telling me that my wife's Amazon Prime subscription was up for renewal. The guy kept pushing me to give out all my wife's personal info. Problem is, he had no clue what her first name was, or even our surname. Total rubbish and a blatant scam if you ask me. Seriously, don’t fall for this!

Got a call from 01237475365, it was a recorded message with a guy who sounded Asian saying my Amazon subscription was about to expire and would renew itself automatically, charging £39 from my bank. I don’t even have an Amazon Prime account, nor do I want one. I pressed 1 to speak to someone, and the person on the line claimed my Amazon was being hacked by someone named Lola. When I asked for my name, he couldn’t say it. I told him to leave me alone, not very nicely, and then I just hung up.
